Danica Patrick was born on 25 MARCH, 1982in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA. She is a professional race car driver in the Indy Racing League. She began karting in 1992. She has focused primarily on road racing with seasons in Europe, the Toyota Atlantic Championship and finally to the Indy Racing League. In 2004, Patrick finished third in the Toyota Atlantic Championship for
Rahal-Letterman Racing. During May, 2005, Patrick will attempt to become the third female to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 driving for
Rahal/Letterman Racing. She will team with Vitor Meira and defending race winner Buddy Rice.
On May 12, 2005, Patrick posted the fastest speed of 227.633 MPH in practice for the Indianapolis 500. The feat of being the fastest driver in a practice session has only been accomplished by one other female, Sarah Fisher.
On a personal note Danica likes to shop. She also loves to workout and she religiously watches Regis and Kelly. She is a great fan of music and loves listening to listening almost everything.
Once an aspiring musician, she played flute and sang in the choir in high school. She is a frequent movie watcher who prefers comedies, especially those with Adam Sandler and Jim Carey. Her favorite actresses would be Julia Stiles, Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman. She loves to roller blade and believes in a variety of activities to work out. She combines running (3-5 miles) and weight training with what she calls ‘extreme yoga.’
