Krista Allen was born on April 5, 1972 in Ventura, California, USA. Krista Allen is an American actress who started her career by wearing bikinis in beauty pageants and advertising campaigns. She appeared on the covers of several men's magazines, calendars, and beer commercials, leading straight to her national identity as "the Budweiser girl." In 1994, she made the natural progression to softcore movies on Cinemax, playing the titular lead seductress in the infamous Emmanuelle series.
Driven by her ambitions to become a star, Krista packed her bags, and with barely $1000 in her pocket, took off to Hollywood. A brief stop in Las Vegas won her $2500. After only a week in LA, she won a recurring role on the soap opera "The Bold and The Beautiful" as a bikini waitress named Shelly. Krista admits that it wasn't her best work, but it was a good starting point.
Her next big break was a staring role in the Roger Corman sci-fi flick The Haunted Sea, where she played a second mate on a ship. She starred in the movie with James Brolin, and Joanna Pacula. Krista's character, Amanda, is the sole survivor on the ship, and is featured in the final scene of the movie.
Throughout 1996 she continued to land guest appearances on many popular prime time shows. She landed a 3 episode stint on the now defunct NBC Saturday Prime Time show "High Tide". She made appearances on 3 USA Network shows, Weird Science, Silk Stalkings, and Pacific Blue. She landed a guest star role in an episode of the popular CBS drama, Diagnosis: Murder, and the very popular FOX comedy, Married With Children. Krista then landed yet another plum role in a feature film, called "Raven".
In the summer of 1996 Krista came upon two more boosts to her acting career. First, she was cast as an extra in the movie "Liar Liar" that had Krista in a scene opposite movie superstar Jim Carrey. Though she was only in one 2 minute scene, she definatly caught the attention of viewers.
That same week, Krista auditioned for the role of Billie Reed on "Days of Our Lives" -A role made popular by it's previous portrayer, Lisa Rinna. "Days" quickly casted Krista in the role, and signed her to a 3 year contract. During her 3 year run on Days, Krista's life changed dramatically.
In September of 1996, Krista and her current boyfriend, movie producer Justin Moritt, decided, on the spur of the moment, to get married. They were married in Los Angeles in a small ceremony with only a few friends. Soon after the wedding, Krista learned that she was pregnant. "Days" decided not to write her pregnancy into the storyline, and to shoot around her. Krista worked full time on the show for the entire 9 months she was pregnant. On July 12, 1997, Justin and Krista welcomed their baby boy, Jacob Nolan, into the world. Krista took a 2 month absence from the show, but returned and became a working mom.
During the next year, Krista recieved high praise for her portrayal of Billie on "Days", especially during Billie's strugle with drugs, and the characters failed pregnancy. Though she was never nominated for any Emmy awards, or Soap Opera Digest awards, many of the Soap Opera magazines praised Krista for her performance.
In 1999 Krista came upon a couple more life changing events. In the spring, her and her husband Justin decided to call it quits, and started divorce proceedings, and she dropped his last name. Though the 2 split up, they remain close to eachother and of course, to their son. Also during the year, her character on Days was being seen less and less. This, plus Krista's drive to try other things, prompted her to not re-sign with the show when her 3 years were up. She left "Days" and her role of Billie in October.
Before she even left Days, Krista was cast a lead role in the made-for-tv sci-fi movie "Avalon, Beyond the Abyss". The movie was originally intended to be a pilot for a potential series, but the series did not take off. In November, Krista joined the cast of "Baywatch: Hawaii" for a 5 episode stint. She was also cast in a guest-starring role on the popular Fox series "X-Files". Krista was in the popular "First Person Shooter" episode, and watchers of the show took notice! Also during this time, Krista filmed a small roll in the independent film "Sunset Strip", and a guest starring roll in the TNN original drama "18 Wheels of Justice"
In April, Krista signed a deal with "Baywatch" that would make her a main character the following season, appearing in at least 12 episodes. Krista also filmed a small role in the pilot episode of the new CBS drama "CSI." Krista is on a roll! Throughout 2000, Krista graced the pages of such magazines as Maxim, Perfect 10, Gear, and was on the cover of Stuff Magazine and Gallery Magazine.
Krista has also landed many guest starring roles on many popular prime-time television shows, including "Friends", "Charmed", "Smallville", "Fastlane", "Glory Days", "Mutant X", and the HBO original comedy, "Arli$$". Adding to that, Krista also got roles in movies, including "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" with George Clooney, and "Anger Management" with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. In February 2003, she made the cover of "Stuff" magazine for a second time.
